Hood Residence
The Hoods’ new landscape distinguishes their home from others in their suburban
neighborhood.
Rick Hood’s preference for natural stone, native plants, and wildlife-friendly
habitat evoke his Alaska homeland, while Southern Magnolia, flowering Dogwood,
and fragrant lilac suggest Linda Hood’s Southern roots.
The once-dominant lawn has been reduced to a few narrow strips. A generous
flagstone path meanders through the front garden, widens to an informal seating
area, and connects the existing walkway to the back yard.
