Our display, titled “Up on the Roof,” won the award for “Best Design”
in the Container Exposition. The rooftop retreat featured three large, richly
planted rustic vessels, creating a display that was “supremely
sophisticated and welcoming--all at once.”

Our display garden, entitled “Sommarstuga,” won three major awards at the 2008
Northwest Flower & Garden Show, the third largest garden show in the United
States.

• Gold Medal - for garden design from the independent NWFGS judges.
Co-sponsored by the Washington State Nursery & Landscape Association
and the Partnership for Water Conservation, our garden featured low-water-use
plants suitable for Northwest gardens, a simple sleeping cottage, a
unique roof water-capture system, and a “smart,” weather-based irrigation
system. The result was a team effort that produced an award-winning
garden that was beautiful, functional, and sustainable.
